I’ve been selling real estate right here in McKinney TX and the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 2015 and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve have met with a buyer who never even mentions that! I mean, don’t get me wrong, obviously they have 3 kids and are hoping to get a 4 bedroom home, but more often than not the things they are looking for has do do more with the location of the home. Remember the saying, “Location, location, location?” Yes. Did I just see a light bulb go on above your head? Now you’r getting it!

Marketing your home AND how great the location is crucial. So here are some things to think about when getting ready to list your home.

  • What are some great things about your neighborhood?

  • Are you in a great school district?

  • Is your home close enough that your children can walk to school?

  • Is your home located in an HOA that holds community events?

  • Do you have access to community amenities like pools, parks, playgrounds, splash pads, walking trails, fishing ponds etc?

  • Are you close to shopping and dining?

  • Is your home close to freeways for an easy commute? Or are you way back in a neighborhood that is quiet and peaceful?

  • Do you have outdoor activities are near by?

You won’t believe how many people are looking for a community they they can be involved in. My point is, that there are so many aspects when selling a home that can add potential value to a buyer and they need to be marketed and showcased because they are just as important as upgrades. All of these factors when marketing property can assist in selling in a more timely manner and at a way higher price. So properly marketing your home and exposing these key essential features and factors are super important.

One of the things that I do with all my listings is to really get you, the seller, involved.
